Quilts are made and sent to Lutheran World Relief for distribution throughout the world for those in need. The ultimate purpose of a Quilt is to provide warmth, an essential need for people in every climate. In addition to being a cozy, clean new bed cover, a quilt can be a baby carrier tied around a mother’s back, a market display spread on the ground and piled with vegetables, a sack for transporting goods to market, a sunshade, a shawl, and most importantly a constant reminder that someone far away cares a lot.

Mission Trips provide an opportunity to partner with other Christians and ministries to meet needs outside our local area. Mission trips are typically 7-10 days and involve a variety of both relational and/or physical service opportunities. A few important outcomes of a mission trip beyond the impact we make are the relationships we build within our group and the personal spiritual growth we experience as we our stretched out of our comfort zones and see God working in new ways.
New Heights strives to plan a mission trip every couple of years. Many are cross-generational mission trips, allowing mission partners of all ages a rich experience of worshipping and working together.
